Engelhardt Metal Emblem for Bass Tailpiece

Kay basses sometimes came with a logo on the tailpiece to identify the bass as a Kay. Many different designs were available over the years, with some being decals and others being a metal badge. To our knowledge, Engelhardt never had tailpiece logos - but that doesn't mean you can't reinvent history a bit.

This lovely custom-crafted "Engelhardt" badge is made of metal and nickel-plated. It is easily installed on almost any tailpiece.

It's modeled after the metal badges that sometimes appeared on Kay basses. It does require permanent modification of the tailpiece - the drilling of two tiny holes through the front of the tailpiece to accommodate the pins that secure it. So be aware that you will have to modify the tailpiece a little to install it. We include instructions and a template, and it's downloadable once your order has been processed so that you can print a copy and start preparing for when your new logo arrives.
