Bow Hair (Replacement) - "Chestnut Blend"

We've carried the same bass bows (Pernambuco and Brazilwood) for close to 20 years now. A few years in, we changed the hair that we specified for these bows to a new blend of darker hair that Bob really liked. We call it the "Chestnut Blend" - it's mostly browns, with some black hairs mixed in. It's a wonderful blend of genuine horsehair that appeals to a wide variety of players - not too specialized, it workes in a range of stylistic needs.

We've often been asked if we can source that hair for the customers who have reached the point where they need to rehair their bows. They've truly liked the hair that is on the bow, and re-hairing with the same horsehair would be ideal.

We've finally been able to get the exact same hair from our bowmakers, for you to purchase for use with your bow re-hairing needs. Individual "hanks" of hair have been wrapped and packed into airtight envelopes and they're ready for your luthier/bowmaker to use for your bow's rehair.

This horsehair is unfinished product; it has not been glued or knotted. Sold by volume.
