If you're looking to break into the world of upright bass, there are certainly lots of options out there. You could invest in a "real" upright bass for the most traditional experience; or perhaps an electric upright, with its smaller footprint and less complicated amplification options might be a better fit. It's why we carry several options for each!

For Traditional Uprights at a reasonable price, we've got you covered; we carry nicely appointed fully-carved uprights, as well as less costly (but still very worthwhile) laminated models. Our selection of new basses (we don't carry any used instruments, as we're an "online" shop) provides several great choices for learning, as well as experienced, players.

Electric Upright Basses come in many shapes and sizes. Eminence basses seek to provide an authentic double-bass experience in a smaller package, while NS Design provides a range of instruments which are a purposeful crossover between the worlds of electric and upright bass. And we're very familiar with the options; we're all bassists here, and personally own (and gig) several of the electric uprights that we sell.
