Innovation Strings

• In 2016-2017, Innovation began to replace the "slug" end with a more conventional "ball" end (most photos are of the ball end, but some show the older "slug" ends).
• Some of the colors changed when they went to ball ends, which is why a couple strings show two different photos.
• Manufacture of these strings transitioned from Wales, UK to the GHS Strings facility in Michigan, USA in 2019. Colors may have changed slightly between generations due to varying materials.

Velvet Strings

• Unfortunately, the parent company for Velvet ceased production for technical/practical reasons in 2019, and have officially announced that they are no longer making Velvet Strings.

All Velvet strings have a LOOP END (no ball end) at the tailpiece.

How to figure out what you have:

All of the strings have a solid tailpiece end silk that is the same color on all four strings. On the Anima, Garbo, and Blues, that color is yellow. Each string has a colored "ring" of a different color just before the transition to the playable section, that color indicates which string (E, A, D, G, etc.) that it is. The top silks are all the same color, and indicate what model string it is.

So, for example, a string that has a yellow tailpiece silk with a red ring, and blue pegbox silk would be a Velvet Blues G String.
