050 Dark Bass Rosin

This rosin from 050 Rosin is artisanally hand-crafted in Groningen, Netherlands. The founder (a professional classical and early music bassist himself) emphasizes practicality, reliability, and sustainability.

The Dark Formula is a one-of-its-kind bass rosin, for the advanced bassist who is looking for something unique. The dark rosin contains a special ingredient which gives it a unique texture and feel. Despite feeling less "sticky" when applied, it is every bit as powerful and grabs as good as 050's Soft blend (if not more). It has a smooth feel, especially during the hotter months –this rosin will behave very well even when temperatures get extreme, without the risk of becoming too runny. Even after multiple strokes the sound remains clean, with little to no background noise.

Sound wise, compared to the "Artisanal" blends of the 050 rosin, this blend better enhances the low-mid overtones, resulting in a warm, vibrant, smooth and clear tone which will work perfectly in solo as well as orchestral playing. 

The rosin is packed in a 100% recyclable metal can, and is poured into a recyclable paper cup, which allows you to safely store it and apply it. It is still a soft rosin, and in warmer temperatures (and during transport) it may "flow" out of its paper cup a bit, so it is recommended to keep the container tightly sealed, and preferably upright whenever possible.
