Description
So, you've got an Engelhardt, and you dig the look of the old (somewhat rare) "Kay" metal badge? Well, I've got something for you.
Engelhardt never actually made these badges for their basses, but they were made for a while by a craftsperson here in the USA. We used to carry these (and ones for Kay Basses, too!), but the supply dried up and we discontinued them.
Well, at least in a small quantity, they're back! One of my suppliers had these tucked away in the corner of their stockroom, so I snagged what they had left.
Check out these cool metal (nickel-plated, I believe - so if you have an allergy, take note) custom Engelhardt logo badges for your tailpiece. It's modeled loosely after the similar metal "Kay" badge that would appear sporadically on particularly fancy Kay basses.
Installation is not too difficult - They require drilling two small holes through the front of your tailpiece, so be aware of that - but we include instructions, with a drilling template, so it should be relatively painless. It looks pretty sharp, as you can see in the photo.
I have very limited stock on these - once they're gone, I don't anticipate that I'll be able to get any more of them. So don't sleep on this opportunity to get it while you can!
TAILPIECE NOT INCLUDED, the photos show an example of the emblem installed on a typical bass tailpiece.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED! We've written up easy instructions to help you install the badge on your bass' tailpiece.
