Jade Double Bass Solo Rosin

Ultra soft rosin for both solo work and orchestral play, and is made in France by a manufacturer . Designed to eliminate messy and annoying "dusting," it provides firm adhesion without being overly aggressive - the feel is smooth, not sticky - and the resulting tone is clear and warm. It is hypoallergenic, and does not contain metallic residues that can damage a fine varnish finish.

Jade solo rosin is generally suitable for all seasons and climates. The rosin is attached to a velvety cloth wrap to protect it, and comes in a hard plastic container to protect it. This item was added to our rosin lineup by customer request!

Rosin is key in getting a good bowed sound, so don't cheap out on this key ingredient to success, it can last a long time - and isn't very expensive. In fact, some bassists carry two or three different cakes just in case the environment makes another consistency better for that particular situation. When the humidity is high, the more powdery, harder rosin is usually best, and during very dry periods some stickier stuff may be needed.
