Repair Information for Discontinued Products
Where can you find help getting your Acoustic Image or EA (Euphonic Audio) gear repaired?
Acoustic Image
Acoustic Image made high-quality, transparent, and highly portable amps, speakers, and combos for decades. We at Gollihur Music were strong proponents of their designs, and were, for over 20 years, the #1 place to get Acoustic Image gear.
Unfortunately, in 2023, Acoustic Image permanently closed their doors after the unexpected passing of their founder and president (and our good friend) Dr. Rick Jones. Shortly thereafter, we sold our last amps and had to "close the book" on the lineup.
The amplifiers were very modular designs with integrated, pre-made components, so they're not easy for even very knowledgeable amp repair-persons to work on. So you cannot just take them to the corner "amp guy" and have them fixed.
There was talk early on about enlisting a well-known amp manufacturer to pick up the line (and provide service moving forward) but unfortunately that did not pan out. As of this writing, we do not know of any service center, amp repair-person, or company that can provide service or repair to these amps.
We may still have a few speaker drivers left over for replacing the woofers in a limited number of combos or speakers cabinets - please use the search window, above, to search "Acoustic Image" to find whatever we may still have available. Once that stuff is gone, unfortunately we're unable to get it again.
TL;DR: Sorry - no one we know of is repairing Acoustic Image amplifiers or combos.
EA (Euphonic Audio)
Euphonic Audio made great amps and cabinets that were suitable for both electric and upright basses. We were very happy to be a top dealer (and still are users) of their fine amplifiers, like the Doubler, iAmp models, and so on. Legendary bassist Lee Sklar is/was a very strong longtime endorser of their gear.
EA was a very small company, run by just a few dedicated people who really cared about high-fidelity amplification. Post-pandemic, their small boutique size worked against them as supply chains got restrictive and complicated. They were unable to source the components and speaker drivers needed to make their products for over a year, and had to "throw in the towel" in 2021 due to those difficulties.
The guys who designed and built the gear are still around, but not in an official capacity. I've known them to occasionally scan posts at the very popular bass forums at "Talkbass.com" - if you are looking for assistance, you might find some (unofficially) there by posting a request for help.
TL;DR: The company is gone, but you might find some guidance on the online bass forums.
