It clips to most standard portable and rehearsal music stands that have a metal lip -- as well as many plastic-lipped stands that are thinner than your fingertip -- and gives you a confident place to securely put your bow down. When the rehearsal's over, just slide it off and put it in the bag pocket along with your music books.
