BassBucks Rewards Program

Attention: The BassBucks program has been discontinued.

 

At Gollihur Music, we've always endeavored to provide you with the best value we can offer.

With that in mind, we created our "BassBucks" rewards program a couple of years ago to provide a "1% back" points program for our customers. It provides points (we call them "BassBucks") that you can earn for your qualified purchases, and subsequently redeem for discounts, gifts, and coupons. We have been able to accomplish this through a special rewards "app" that connects with our website and runs the program pretty much automatically.

Originally, due to our smaller company size, the app was free for us to use - and therefore, even though were were "giving away" an extra percentage point of our profit margin to give you these rewards, it was worth it to provide you with that benefit.

However, as of Late December 2023, we've made the difficult decision to sunset the BassBucks program, for the following reasons:

  1. Customers generally are not taking advantage of the program in great enough numbers - of the customers who earned BassBucks points in 2023, only about 8.5% of them have actually used those points to create a coupon or discount.
  2. The app - which was previously free - has recently transitioned to a "paid" business model which has, since early 2023, cost us several hundred dollars per month, on top of the discounts we're awarding. This new expense is just not sustainable for a business of our size, especially if fewer than 10% of the points we're rewarding are actually being spent.

So, we are ending the Bass Bucks program. But we don't want to leave you out in the cold, especially if you've been sitting on a decent number of those BassBucks that you could use to save some money. We have "turned off" the ability to earn NEW points, but will continue to pay for the app (keeping your earned points active and accessible) through the end of February to give you enough time to turn those BassBucks into a usable discount or gift.

PLEASE REDEEM YOUR POINTS BEFORE FEBRUARY 29, 2024. THEY WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE ONCE THE BASSBUCKS APP IS SHUT DOWN.

You don't have to spend those points today, but here's what you should do, ASAP, so you won't lose the benefits you've earned:

  1. Log In to your account.
  2. Return to the homepage.
  3. At the bottom, right hand corner of the page is the BassBucks Rewards launcher - it looks like the burgundy-colored oval pictured at right. Click on it and the BassBucks menu pops up. Your points total is at the top.
  4. Click "how to redeem" to access the options that you can select to "spend" your points.

Options:

  • You can choose an "Order discount coupon" that will provide $1 for every 100 "BassBucks" you have - so if you have 800 BassBucks, you can get a $8 coupon to apply to your current order. You get a coupon code that you can paste into your order.

  • If you don't have anything you want to buy today, that's okay - just choose the option for "Store Credit" - that option will apply the same (100 points=$1) value as the coupon does, but instead, it will be a store credit on your Gollihur Music account. It will automatically apply in your cart to the next order you place on the website (you have to be logged in). And that credit does not expire - it will still be there even after we fully cancel the BassBucks program. No coupon code to remember (or lose!)

  • You may also be eligible for one or more "Free Gift" options that you can spend points on - those options will be listed in the "Ways to Redeem" window if available, but those will need to be redeemed before we cancel the BassBucks Program.

Rewards are redeemable in $100 increments; any unused and/or surplus points will be surrendered when the program is taken off line on or after February 29, 2024.

We are disappointed to have to cancel this program. It's been a fun option to offer additional value to you. Moving forward, we'll try to create more occasional "sale" and "discount" special opportunities for our valued customers, to make up for the loss of this program.

The BassBucks referral/rewards points program is offered as a special feature for our customers.

It's kind of like airline miles, or "points" credit cards: your Gollihur Music account will automatically collect BassBucks (aka "points") based on your purchases, and allow you to redeem them for discounts on future orders. Additionally, you will have other opportunities to earn referral credits and special Bonus BassBucks for other actions, such as social media likes and/or follows, or other actions. Click on the "BassBucks Rewards" launcher icon in the lower right of this screen and click "Ways to Earn" for the full list.

BassBucks (Earned Points)

Below are the simple rules that apply to the BassBucks portion of the program:

  1. Rewards are available to registered customers only.
  2. BassBucks are only awarded to orders placed while logged in (no "guest checkout" orders will receive BassBucks).
  3. Points earned or redeemed do not apply to tax or shipping.
  4. Points are earned and redeemable by the email address on your account only.
  5. Points are non-transferable.
  6. Points may only be redeemed for purchases and have no cash value.
  7. Points are accumulated by current purchases or activities only. We cannot award points retroactively.
  8. We reserve the right to cancel an account at any time, for any reason.
  9. Current values for earnings and redemption of rewards can be found under "Ways to Earn" and "Ways to Redeem" in the BassBucks Launcher.
  10. Due to technical limitations, you cannot use a BassBucks coupon on an order where you're already using another coupon or a gift certificate (there is only one code entry per order.)

Referral Rewards

When logged into your Gollihur Music account, you can copy and share a special link, unique to your account, to share Gollihur Music with your friends who might be interested in shopping with us. To retrieve that link, click the "BassBucks Rewards" in the lower right of this screen when logged in, and scroll down to "referrals" for the link.

As part of that referral, your friend will get a discount on their purchase (currently $5). If they use that link and complete a purchase, YOU will earn a discount coupon for your next purchase (currently $10). You can earn as many coupons as you have interested, motivated friends. Just please don't game the system, or we'll lock you out of it.

For details on your current BassBucks balance and your custom referral link for the earning of referral rewards, log into your account, and click the "BassBucks Rewards" icon in the lower right of your screen (this may be just an icon on mobile devices.)
