Description

Playing bass is super-fun. But what if could be even funner? It can be! All you need is a groundbreaking new endpin.

Is a regular steel endpin the way to go? No.
Is a titanium pin the new great hope? Nope.
Do you think carbon fiber is the bees knees? Please.

Introducing the Pogo Post® - the newest generation of high-tech endpin technology.

Yeah, let's be honest - just re-crafting an existing bass endpin with newfangled materials is old news. What if you could add truly useful functionality to your boring old endpin? The Pogo Post does exactly that, by combining that little metal stand at the bottom of your bass with the business end of a state-of-the-art, competition-grade pogo stick. Rick O'Shea, runner up to the pogo stick world champion It's been carefully engineered with the assistance of (runner-up to the) pogo stick world champion - "Human Kangaroo" Rick O'Shea - the Pogo Post brings real "bounce" to your bass - AND to your playing!

The Pogo Post has been carefully engineered to provide exacting levels of recoil, vaulting you to new heights of bass-playing greatness. The amount of jumping power is incrementally adjustable, and it features a high carbon, blue-tempered and polished steel spring for durability and reliability. The Pogo Post will provide you with unending fun, onstage and off, for years to come.

Among the many benefits of using a spring-loaded pogo stick endpin:

  • Brings new movement to your playing - especially if you play styles like jump blues, hip-hop, or bouncy house
  • You can use the bouncing bass as a visual metronome for your drummer - he'll finally keep consistent time!
  • It adds a percussive "thump" to your best bass lines
  • Your playing skills will go through the roof (possibly literally)
  • Audiences love the theatrics of you hanging onto your bass for dear life - it's like going to a rodeo, but with music!
  • When it's time to hit the stage, you REALLY hit the stage
  • Who needs a roadie? Just climb aboard your bass and hop... load-in and load-out just got WAY more fun!
  • For seedier venues (or diving expeditions), the rubber foot can be removed to expose a pointed tip; the post can then be fired like a spear gun with startling accuracy (targets not included)

The Pogo Post endpin is super-easy for anyone to install, assuming that you have the following tools on hand: Tapered Reamer, Garage Door Spring Spreader, Hydraulic Torque Wrench, and a medieval Adze (a sharpened piece of metal attached to a wooden handle and used to carve and shape wood). Once this baby is installed, you'll be able to hop all over the stage, and finally take all the attention away from your guitar player (they're gonna be so ticked off!)

Important note/disclaimer: A helmet, elbow and knee pads, shin guards, wrist supports, mouthguard, and multiple dangerous materials handling certifications are all strongly recommended (but not required) for the installation and use of the Pogo Post. We are not responsible for any injury, death, or ridicule that occurs to you, friends, audience members, or passing birds due to improper handling of the Pogo Post.

I would have given it 5 stars if it had just a little more bounce.
