Description

If you need to rewire, or customize, the output jack on your bass pickup so that it can be used with a preamp that uses 2.5mm "Micro" (aka "sub-mini") input jacks, this is an inline jack to do it with.

A specific example (and the main reason we have these) would be the Shadow Rockabilly Pickup/Preamp setup. The two pickup input jacks on the included preamp use these micro jacks. This means that you either use only Shadow piezo pickups with your preamp, or you custom-wire another pickup with one of these plugs so that it can be used in place of the stock pickups.

Note, these are MONO only - so you need one for EACH of the two pickups if you're planning on modifying your existing pickup. This means that it will NOT work with the K&K Rockabilly pickup set; the two pickups in that transducer network are wired to a TRS/Stereo jack. So your better bet for that setup is to make a 1/4" TRS to dual micro jack (these little guys) custom splitter cable.

Perfect for re-wiring, customizing, and replacing; if the original jacks on your Shadow pickups have failed or become damaged, or if you would like to alter another brand's pickup to use with that preamp, this is what you need.

Not an "adapter" -- this product requires soldering.

If you're comfortable doing solder work, this should work easily for you. It's pretty basic stuff, really, if you have any experience with a soldering iron. As is the normal procedure, the "shield" in the cable will go to the larger/outer tab, while the "signal" wire would go to the inner, smaller tab (see photo).
