Description
Get a kit which contains everything you need to mount your compact K&K, Schatten, LR Baggs, or other small beltpack preamp to your tailpiece - without any modifications to your valuable instrument! Having the preamp mounted to the bass makes setup a breeze - just plug and play! It also means that you have a volume control on your instrument - a big deal if you've ever had to lug the doghouse over to the amp to make adjustments.
Consisting of high-quality components, this kit includes complete, illustrated instructions and can be "installed" by most anyone - in less than 15 minutes. The included cables are top-shelf, made with high quality cable and connectors. Please be sure to get the correct kit for your application; see the diagram in the photo array to help you to determine which version you need. If you're getting a 2-channel system like the Bass Master Pro, Bass Master Rockabilly Plus, or one of the Golden Trinity Mic sets, you need the STEREO/TRS version, which has the cable that allows for two separate channels to travel on a single cable. If you get the wrong kit, your pickup and preamp setup may not work properly. Details of the mounting kits are below.
STEREO (2 CHANNEL, 2 PICKUP) Mount Kit
Use this mounting kit for the Two Channel K&K Pocket-Sized preamplifiers. This kit includes one high-quality 2-channel flat-cable TRS (Tip/Ring/Sleeve) cable, foam isolation materials, and hook-and-loop strap for mounting a small 2-channel preamp to the tailpiece of your double bass. It also includes a full set of instructions.
This kit is compatible with the Dual-Channel Pro ST preamp, as well as with the following pickup systems:
- Bass Master Pro
- Bass Master Rockabilly or Rockabilly PLUS
- Golden Trinity Upgrade System
- Golden Trinity with Bass Max
- Golden Trinity with Double Big Twin
Again - this is used for a small preamp that uses a SINGLE TRS jack to carry 2 CHANNELS of audio. If your preamp has two separate inputs, get the mono version with the added second small cable. If you have a one-channel setup (for instance, just a pickup and a preamp) get the MONO version with the single cable.
