We all know that to work on your time and tempo, a good metronome is kind of a key piece of gear to have in your bag. When working out your parts, it will ensure that you're learning them in the proper tempo, too. This battery-operated electronic one is durable, portable, and also features a flashing light and a tone generator for accurate ear-tuning.
Wittner QM2 metronome features 40-208 bpm and 39 tempo selections. It has loud clicking sounds so it can be heard over most any instrument. The LED beat indication can be configured to sounds and light or light only. The physical dial-type tempo selection allows very quick and accurate selection. The tone generator is loud and precise at 440Hz.

Clicks (doesn't beep)
I'd been using a Seiko SQ50V digital metronome the past few years, but the beep drives me nuts, and recently I'd started favoring an old-school Wittner tabletop metronome whenever feasible. This QM-2 metronome is the best of both: compact and easy to use, with clicks rather than beeps. It's the only metronome I expect to routinely use going forward.
