Description
In the new age of technology, many people are leaving the paper at home and instead, using tablets for sheet music. I (Kyle) have been putting this change off for a while now, but am beginning to see the benefits. Not having to lug around my big solid music stand (the kind we all used in school), just to sit my tablet on it, has saved my back a lot of pain. I simply throw this lightweight stand (~4 pounds including optional the bag) over my shoulder, and get on my way to the gig. One trip!
The tablet holder will require some adjustment to fit your particular device upon first use. Once it is set to fit, you can just click your device into place each time without need for adjustment.
First, loosen the wing-nuts on the back to allow the three arms to move freely. With them out of the way, you can then use the small thumbscrews to adjust for the depth (thickness) of your device. Then, put the device in place and secure the arms around it, making sure it is a nice, secure fit and lock the wing-nuts into place (I found it helpful to do this part with the tablet facing down). There are handy number markings on the arms to make sure they are adjusted evenly.
The holder can accommodate devices from 222-334mm in height, 128-232mm in width, and 6-11mm in depth. This fits my iPad (and probably other tablets) in, or out of its case.
The manufacturer says it should fit the following devices (and possibly more): iPad, iPad Air, iPad Pro, Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, Samsung Galaxy Tab from 9.7, Google Nexus 9, Asus Transformer or Microsoft Surface as well as Surface Pro.
The holder can switch between portrait and landscape with a simple turn. It can also be tilted to change the angle.
The height of the stand can be adjusted to anywhere between 70-155cm.
